Moonshine was originally a high proof distilled spirit that was produced illicitly! It was named ‘Moonshine’ because distillation was usually done at night to avoid discovery. Nowadays, Moonshine is a spirit typically made with corn mash and produced according to the original bootlegging tradition.
The inspiration for Midnight Moon Moonshine is an original family recipe from Junior Johnson, a star NASCAR driver in the 1950’s and 60’s. Junior, the son of a lifelong bootlegger was arrested by Revenuers in the 1950’s but in 1986 received a Presidential pardon from Ronald Regan. It is this original family recipe which forms the base of MIDNIGHT MOON MOONSHINE.
MIDNIGHT MOON Blueberry is 100% grain neutral spirit, distilled 3 times in copper pot stills. Made using only American corn. Authentically infused with freshly blueberries MIDNIGHT MOON is the only Moonshine made using real fruit!
Can be enjoyed neat over ice or as an ingredient for a whole host of delicious cocktails.
Available in 35cl and 70cl at 40% ABV.
